11/11/11....Reagan Nicole Lawrence
Reagan Nicole Lawrence
11/11/11
2:03am
7lbs 12oz
20 inches
Reagan decided to come a little bit early, 12 hours to be exact.
Thursday night Adam and I were getting ready to go to bed for the last time as a family of 2. Adam decided to take some Benadryl to help him sleep through the night since we were both wide awake in anticipation for the arrival of Reagan at 2pm on Friday. Adam rolls over to go to bed and I do the same except I felt something completely different than I have ever felt before....a gush of something in my underwear. I say to Adam, "uh oh, I think my water just broke." I get out of bed and go to the bathroom to check. My water had broke on its own at 9:30pm Thursday night. I call the on call doctor to tell her what has happened and jump in the shower. I figure its my last shower for a few days so why not. Adam is running all through the house trying to pack his hospital bag. Mine was already done- of course for those of you who know me, I am always prepared.
We arrive at Community North Hospital around 11pm and head to triage. The maternity ward was crazy busy, maybe because it was a full moon or maybe because everyone wanted to have their baby on 11/11/11. We finally get a triage room and they monitor me until the doctor arrives. I am now having contractions but not real bad. Since we had just had dinner at 6pm they needed us to wait 6 hours before we could start the c-section, which was fine with me since I was still praying for that 11/11/11 birthday. Reagan decided she wanted that date to by breaking my water. The earliest they could start the c-section was at 1:30am so Reagan was born at 2:03am. She came out crying and with a full head of hair. Adam got pictures of the c-section which surprisingly is not bad.
We finally got a real room and were able to get 1 hour of sleep from 5am - 6am. We then had to stay in the hospital through Monday and were almost not released thanks to my blood pressure hitting a record high of 172/100. In my defense, I was already upset because the pharmacy had taken 2 hours to fill 1 prescription and they decided to take my BP when my baby was screaming. Finally after waiting another 3 hours, we were given the green light to go.

38 Weeks......12 more days to go!
We have made it to 38 weeks and it looks as if Reagan is in no hurry to come early so it looks like her birthday will remain 11/11/11. I am feeling good, still doing housework, a little yard work, and preparing some frozen meals so I won't have to cook as much when Reagan gets here. My blood pressure is awesome and I am experiencing some swelling here and there but my OB said it is just part of being pregnant. I had a doctors appointment last Thursday and I am not dilating yet. I only have 1 more doctors appointment this Thursday. It's weird to think Adam and I only have one more weekend to sleep in and be lazy. I just hope the next 2 weeks fly by and I continuing feeling as good as I have. Here are my last official belly shots since I will not make it to 40 weeks.
Adam and I also took advantage of Halloween and painted my belly as a pumpkin. Please note that Adam is responsible for all the artwork! He had me almost in tears from laughter.

36 Weeks
We are officially 36 weeks today! Whoo Hoo! Only 26 days left to go. I have had some on and off swelling over the last week but Saturday and Sunday were good days. So good that on Saturday I made 3 different meals to freeze for when Reagan arrives and Sunday I mowed the grass and even cleaned up some of my mulch beds. Here are my 36 week belly shots.

Some Fun Stuff
Today was like Christmas for me. Adam sent Reagan (ok me) flowers today that said "Look forward to meeting you, only one month to go ~ Love Daddy". The funny part was he ordered them from a flower shop near our work and the lady didn't speak very good English so the flowers came to Regan (not Reagan) Lawrence and the card read "look forward to meet you, only one month ago"...hahaha
Here are your flowers Reagan- from your "Daddy". I took a picture so you could see them one day.
I also ordered some "jeggings" for her that came today and some cute knitted hats. I can't wait to see her chunky little legs fit into the jeggings LOL. I love getting home from work and seeing all of Reagans new things. It's hard to see but I made the hair bow/flower that is attached to one of the hats. Needless to say the child has plenty of hair things. I made almost all her bows and flower clips.
My mom made our slip covers for our glider. I think it looks great! Thanks mom. I am so lucky to have such a talented mom.
On a side note- today is the 11th meaning only 1 month left until she gets here.

34 Weeks
We are officially 34 weeks today. Less than 6 weeks left to go but who's counting....LOL I am feeling good just a little uncomfortable. I am even still cutting the grass which I am sure is a sight to those driving by. My blood pressure is good and I am hardly swelling. I have a feeling this will all be changing in the next few weeks but overall this has been a very easy pregnancy. Reagan is a mover and a shaker. I sometimes wonder if she is having a little party in my belly. Adam gets a kick out of watching all the movement from the the outside.

Baby Shower
I had a wonderful baby shower hosted by 3 awesome sister-in-laws. Thank you so much Tori, Nikki and Amanda for all your hard work. The shower was perfect and it was so good to see friends and family and celebrate our little miracle. Thank you to all who came and for all the gifts. Adam and I spent all Sunday opening and setting up all of our new things. It was like Christmas in our house. We used our gift cards to finish our shopping and I think we are finally ready- or as ready as we can be. The nursery is about 90% there with just a few minor touches left. I will be 32 weeks on Sunday. We only have 57 left until Reagan is here unless she decides she wants to come a few days early. I would not complain :) I think she has hit a growth spurt because she has decided to take up residence in my ribs. That does not feel very good and when I try to move her, she gets mad and kicks me. It will be interesting to see how much bigger I get in the next few weeks because I am thinking she is crammed inside by all the movement and kicks I get. There is no where for her to go but out...LOL
Here are a few photos from the shower.

30 Weeks (Only 67 days left to go!)
I can't believe we just have a little over 2 months left until Reagan is here. Hopefully it will go by fast but not too fast. I passed my Glucose test but only after a false positive on the 1 hour test which led me to take the 3 hour test. I am just relieved to have passed it! Reagan is a very active little girl. She loves to kick me all day and all night. I tell Adam she is honoree :) and is going to be a handful...LOL He gets mad when I say that and says she can't help that is she so crammed in my belly. I remind him whose fault it that because it seems she has very long legs and I know she didn't get those from me (haha). I can't wait to find out how long she will be when she comes out. My baby shower is this Sunday the 11th and I am so excited to share our miracle with friends and family.

4D Ultrasound
I had my 4D ultrasound and it was amazing. Reagan would not move her leg away from her face. The tech tried and tried to get her to move but she would not budge. At one point I thought she was going to put her toes in her mouth...LOL Here are a few pics from the ultrasound.
Here is one of my baby pictures next to Reagan. I guess she might be taking after her momma after all.

Hello 3rd Trimester.......(28 Week Belly Shots)
We have officially entered the 3rd trimester! Whoo Hoo. Despite getting bigger I am feeling great. I took my Glucose test on Friday and praying I passed! I am dreading having to do the 3 hour test if my 1 hour test turns up positive. I should hopefully know something in the next 2 days. My check up on August 11th went well. My blood pressure is still good and so is my weight. I am measuring a week ahead of schedule but the doctor said not to be worried. The baby could come early, she could be really long (which we already know she is) or her growth could slow down in the next couple of weeks. In less than 2 weeks I will get to see what she looks like when I have my 3D/4D ultrasound done. I am so excited!

26 Weeks
Here are my 26 week belly shots. I can't believe we only have 3 months left until Reagan is here. I hope it flys by. I am having a 3D/4D ultrasound on Sept. 1st. I am hoping it will give us a tease of what she will look like.

Check up
I just came back from my monthly check up and everything is looking really good. Reagan is measuring ahead of schedule still so we might not get our 11/11/11 due date. That's okay because then we will get to meet her sooner than expected. I didn't get in trouble for my weight gain like I was anticipating so that is good....LOL Reagan decided to show off for the doctor when it was doppler time. She kicked good and hard just as the doctor was putting the doppler on my belly. The doctor stepped back and said "I felt that one". I told her she likes to show off....LOL I have been getting really bad headaches and the doctor seems to think I have a sinus infection. So she prescribed me some antibiotics to try. I will be so happy when the headaches are finally gone! That has been my biggest complaint about being pregnant but I can't complain because it is all worth it in the end. It kills Adam and I when we hear so many women complain about being pregnant or once they have had the baby about the baby not sleeping or spitting up all the time. We just feel so blessed to be having a healthy baby and welcome all the lack of sleep and spit up that will soon come. I have so many friends who are still try to conceive and my heart breaks each and every day for them. They are all wonderful ,good hearted people who want nothing more to bring their own child into this world. You are all in my thoughts and prayers everyday and you all remind me of how lucky Adam and I are.

22 Weeks
I think I officially popped! Here are my 22 week belly shots.
A few other random things to report. This little girl is very active. She kicks me good and hard and frequently. It is the best feeling EVER! For the first time last night, Adam was able to feel her kick me. I have been trying to get him to feel her for the last 2 weeks but every time I would put his hand on my belly, she would stop. Last night she put on one heck of a show for the both of us.
Over the weekend we put up Reagan's name sticker on the wall. I have to say it looks amazing. We are so glad how it turned out. Adam also installed a camera in the room to monitor the baby. It is so cool. Now all I have to do is turn on any tv to check on her. I am so lucky that I have such a talented husband! We also tackled the task of registering at Target and Babies R Us. It was tons of fun for about the 1st hour. We were both exhausted by the time we were done and my ankles were the size of grapefruits from standing for over 4 hours. PS- Adam had the registry gun so if you see something strange on the registry, you can blame him...LOL
